For lean, advanced trainees close to their genetic ceiling, alternating focused cuts with small surpluses tends to produce more total muscle gain over time.

Can women do body recomposition?+

Yes. The underlying physiology is the same. Protein targets scale to body weight, so absolute grams are lower, but relative intake per kilogram is unchanged. Training prescription and energy balance follow the same principles.

Do I need supplements for body recomposition?+

No. Whole-food protein, adequate energy, and a structured resistance training program drive the outcome. A whey or plant protein powder can make daily protein targets easier to hit, and creatine monohydrate has the strongest evidence base of any training supplement, but neither is required.

Will body recomposition work with only cardio?+
